Children's and Youth Ministries

Church School: The Church School is offered for children who are preschool-age through fifth grade. Our vision of ministry with the children is to:
- Provide a safe and welcoming place for each child;
- Help children become acquainted with the Bible;
- Learn about their faith through art, drama and music as well as informal conversation with each other and their teachers;
- Encourage children to participate in reaching out to others
Our program begins each Sunday with children meeting in church with their parent(s), listening to a story led by the rector, and then going to their class for about 30 minutes. They return to the service in time to receive communion.
Youth Group:
A youth group for middle and high school students is in the process of
being formed. We intend to meet monthly between September and June on a
Friday evening for supper and an activity. In addition our young people
are encouraged to participate with others in service projects and
activities within and beyond the congregation.
Acolytes: Children in grades 3 and up are welcome to participate as acolytes at our services. They receive training from the rector and other adult leaders.
Children’s Choir: The children’s choir meets for rehearsal after the 10am Sunday service. They sing approximately every other month.
