Progress continues moving forward as we “build” the team needed for the renovation of the First Church into our new Parish and Community Center.
At the October 12th vestry meeting, the subcommittee of the FCBC gave a detailed report on the process for selecting a contractor. The decision was made to hire Delphi Construction Company to be our contractor. Jim Vieira and Terry Soares will be working out the details of our contract with them. We appreciate the effort of all four contractors whom we interviewed. Now that we have Delphi on board, we are optimistic that you will see construction activity begin by late fall!
Our capital campaign fundraising continues as we reach out to more people – both those who are here in the summer and those who may have had an association with the Church of the Messiah in the past. Our goal for the end of 2017 is to receive another $300,000 in gifts and pledges. To date, we have received $150,000 putting our total at $1.5 million raised! Please let us know if there is someone you know who may be interested in supporting this important project for the church and the Woods Hole community. As always, we encourage questions and support. If you have not yet made a gift, we hope that as you make your year-end giving decisions, the capital campaign can be part of your philanthropy.
