Stewardship
Stewardship
is the practice of sharing our talents with others so that we can work
towards achieving the goals of the Church of the Messiah, locally,
nationally and internationally. It is a way we show our commitment to
God, and our Christian ideals.
As a practice, stewardship takes many forms: from serving on various committees, helping at church sponsored functions, or other volunteer activities. Probably the most common form of stewardship is making an annual financial commitment or pledge to the church, upon which the vestry depends as it establishes the annual budget.
From
time to time, members and friends of the parish will be asked to
contribute to longer term projects outside the annual budget.
A final aspect of stewardship is around planned giving: intentionally including the Church of the Messiah in your estate planning. These gifts will continue to provide financial support to the Church of the Messiah in our future operations and growth.
