Noontunes Summer Concert: Schola Cantorum

Please join us on Wednesday, July 20th at 12:15pm at the Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole, for the second concert of our 2022 Noontunes Summer Concert Series. Schola Cantorum will present a program of a cappella choral works.

Founded in 2002, Schola Cantorum of Falmouth is a group of 8 to 16 singers dedicated to keeping alive the rich repertoire of sacred polyphony. They sing pieces mainly composed from the 16th through the 18th centuries, and mostly sing a cappella, or without accompaniment. Schola has sung at liturgical services and performed programs at many churches on Cape Cod and in Southeastern Massachusetts. Their goal is to bring this wonderful music to wider audiences. Over the years, as well as Cape Cod natives, their members have hailed from other countries including Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Croatia, France, the Philippines, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

The concert will take place in the stone church at the Church of the Messiah, 22 Church Street in Woods Hole. A free-will offering will be collected to support the church music program. For more information and directions, please visit the church’s website at
